Artificial intelligence for law firms and professional practices in Switzerland
AI for professional practices: save time without ever exposing your case files
Time tracking, billing, reminders, reports, templates: we automate your practice’s admin work, without a single case document ever touching a model.
Your staff know what they can hand to a tool and what they must never put into one. Professional secrecy stays intact.
Free · 30 min by video · No offer during the call. You leave with your 2 or 3 priorities, in writing.
What you gain
Time given back to your cases
Time tracking, billing and reminders no longer eat into the end of the day.
A clear framework for your team
A one-page rule says what is forbidden, allowed under conditions or free. No more hidden use of assistants.
Professional secrecy preserved
For every tool, you know where the request goes, who has access to it and how long it is kept.
What we automate
The high-gain tasks are not the same from one profession to another, and neither is the dominant constraint. For each type of practice, here is what is gained first.
Type of practice 1 of 5
Lawyers and law firms
The overriding constraint: professional secrecy, protected under criminal law by art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code (SCC), which goes beyond nFADP compliance alone.
| Task | What it changes for you | What stays human |
|---|---|---|
| Time tracking and billing | Time recorded as you go becomes an invoice ready to approve, with no reconstruction at month end. | Approving every invoice. |
| Administrative reminders | Unpaid fees and expected documents are chased without you thinking about it. | The tone and the timing, approved by the partner. |
| Templates and case-law monitoring | Up-to-date deed templates and summarised monitoring, on public or anonymised content. | Never a case document. Systematic legal review. |
Type of practice 2 of 5
Medical and dental practices
The overriding constraint: health data, sensitive under the nFADP, and medical confidentiality.
| Task | What it changes for you | What stays human |
|---|---|---|
| Reports | The report is prepared from your notes: you review it instead of writing it. | Systematic medical review, with a tool hosted accordingly. |
| Administrative replies to patients | Opening hours, documents, invoices: practical questions get a quick answer. | No medical question handled automatically. |
| Appointments | Reminders and confirmations go out automatically. | Occasional. |
Type of practice 3 of 5
Consulting and audit
The overriding constraint: client confidentiality clauses, often stricter than the law itself.
| Task | What it changes for you | What stays human |
|---|---|---|
| Summaries of internal documents | Long documents are summarised: you start from the essentials. | No identifiable client document in an unapproved tool. |
| Repetitive deliverables | The standard parts of deliverables are prepared: your time goes to the analysis. | The content and the recommendations. |
| Sector monitoring | A summarised weekly watch, without spending the morning on it. | Choosing the sources. |
Type of practice 4 of 5
Architects and engineers
The overriding constraint: intellectual property in the plans and non-disclosure commitments.
| Task | What it changes for you | What stays human |
|---|---|---|
| Meeting minutes and site supervision | The minutes go out the same day, from your notes. | Review before circulation. |
| Quotes and project files | Repetitive quotes and files are pre-filled from your templates. | Costing and commitments. |
Type of practice 5 of 5
Recruitment and outsourced HR
The overriding constraint: candidate data and the risk of algorithmic discrimination, for which you are liable, not the tool.
| Task | What it changes for you | What stays human |
|---|---|---|
| Applications | Applications are linked to the right role and incomplete files are chased. | Selection stays human, with no automatic ranking of candidates. |
| Job adverts and interviews | Adverts and interview outlines are prepared from your standard roles. | Review, with attention to bias. |
Your task is not on the list? These tasks are examples, not a closed list: opening files, booking appointments, archiving, fee reminders, public content. If a task is repetitive and follows rules, it is worth a look.
What stays under your control: professional secrecy and hosting
A practice exposes its clients’ or patients’ data, under a regime that is not merely contractual: the nFADP (Swiss data protection act) applies as it does everywhere, and on top of it, depending on the profession, come professional secrecy and ethical obligations. So the deciding criterion is not “is this tool good?” but “where does the request go, who has access to it, and how long is it kept?”.
In most practices, staff are already using an assistant with no written rule. The risk does not come from the use; it comes from the lack of a framework. The rule comes down to three categories, not two:
| Category | What it covers | The rule |
|---|---|---|
| Never | Case documents, identity of the parties or patients, strategy, anything covered by secrecy. | No exceptions, however urgent the matter or good the tool. |
| Under conditions | Research, monitoring, document templates and outlines, rewording of content that is already public. | Genuine anonymisation, an approved tool, known hosting, and a ban on entering any element of the case file. |
| Without restriction | Internal organisation, time tracking, billing, administrative reminders, public content. | Free use, within the tools the practice has chosen. |
The internal memo we draft with you fits on one page:
- The three categories, with two examples from your own work for each.
- The list of approved tools, by name, and the person to ask when in doubt.
- The anonymisation rule to apply before anything is sent, and the date of the next review.
What is not enough, despite what you often read:
- A contractual confidentiality clause, when the operator remains subject to a foreign jurisdiction that can demand access to the data.
- The “do not use my data for training” setting: it deals with reuse, not transmission or retention.
- A blanket ban with no usable alternative: it pushes use out of your sight instead of stopping it.
How it works
Three steps, almost all by video call. You decide after seeing what needs doing and what it costs.
A 30-minute call
Free, no offer during the call. Afterwards you receive a written summary: 2 or 3 priorities, the time you could get back and how hard it would be to set up.
A quote before we start
Straight away if you know what to automate, after a process audit if not. You know the price before anything starts. See our pricing.
Implementation in 2 to 6 weeks
In your tools, with the person who does the task. We then check the time actually saved. Starting with the “without restriction” category.

Can we use a public model for research without naming the client?
Under strict conditions. Removing the name is not enough: a cluster of details (dates, amounts, the pattern of facts) can make a case identifiable. Anonymisation must cover everything that allows re-identification, and it must be done before sending, by you, not by the tool.
Is a contractual clause enough to protect professional secrecy?
No, not on its own. A clause binds the provider, but it does not remove the provider from the law it is subject to. If the operator is subject to a foreign jurisdiction that may demand access to the data, the clause does not neutralise that risk.
Our staff already use ChatGPT. What should we do?
Start by taking stock of the tools actually in use, with no sanctions announced, otherwise the inventory will be wrong. Then give a written rule and an approved alternative. A ban without an alternative pushes use out of your sight instead of stopping it.
How should use by trainees and staff be governed?
With a one-page memo, handed over on arrival, that says what is forbidden, what is allowed under conditions and what is free, with examples from your actual work. A ten-page policy does not get read. One page with three categories does.
Do we need to host a model in-house to be safe?
It is an option, not an obligation. It carries set-up and maintenance costs that are only justified if the volume of uses falling in the “never” category is significant. For many practices, a clear split of tasks and a tool hosted in Switzerland are enough.
What can be automated without ever touching case files?
Everything in the “without restriction” category: time tracking, billing, administrative reminders, appointment booking, public content. The gain is immediate, the risk is zero, and it leaves time to deal with the rest properly.
How many hours a week does your practice spend on admin?
In 30 minutes, we spot what can be automated without ever touching your case files. You leave with the priorities, whether you work with us or not.
